We have OCD's for a reason!
You know the OCD's we all have that keep us on track - you only put your purse in one of two places so you can always find it; everything in it's place so you know where to look for it (in a perfect world of course); the habits that we all have that when we deviate it feels strange and ends badly. It happened on Tuesday. I did things all wrong. I don't know why, I must have had some kind of mental breakdown. The day started out pretty well, I was doing errands and feeling good about actually accomplishing something when things went horribly awry. I went to SanTan Village to go to the Apple store and plead insanity because I had lost the CD to one of the programs I bought. I'm explaining to the nice young man that I had looked everywhere for the disk and simply could not find it. He smiled (I like to think kindly) and said there was no disk for that particular program. It was an on-line registration only. The relief I felt for not losing something was overshadowed by the feeling of total foolishness. I apologized for being such an airhead and thanked him for being so nice. I then left the store and called my sister Tracy to tell her I hadn't lost the disk - and the rest of the humiliating story. She said, “well as long as you are there, go in and get your fonts program”. My phone was dying, so I put it on the car charger. I got out of my car and went back in to the Apple store. A little humiliation wasn't going to keep me from accomplishing another thing on my list of to do's. About 3 steps away from my car and I realized I didn't have my keys. You know, the keys I ALWAYS put in my purse, or my pants pocket. OOOOPs! Oh yeah, I don't have my phone either! So there I am standing on the sidewalk with no keys, no phone and wondering who to call when I find somewhere to call from. I am sorry to admit that with phone books in our phones, I really don't know very many numbers. I do know my daughter-in-law Stacie's phone number, and since she lives next door to me, she was the best shot at getting some keys to me to open the door. I figured if I couldn't get keys I would call one of my sons in the glass business and ask them which window to break. So now I go back into the Apple store to see if I can use a phone. They are more than helpful, and lead me to an iphone. I guess humiliation is just on the docket for the day, because they have to do everything for me because iphones are not your average everyday cell phone. (and we all know I am device challenged) I finally get Stacie on the phone and we work out a plan. Thanks Stacie - now all I have to do is wait. I have now locked myself out of my vehicle twice in my life. I hope there is never a third time. But I have learned to never say never!!

You crack me up! Glad that you survived. My phone # is 986-6200, area code 480! Love you.
I love the drama you relay as you tell a story. I heard it over the phone, but reading it, was a heck of a lot better!!! lol!! At least it was your own car and it wasn't running....remember when....I had Tawna's (brand new) trail blazer and locked the keys and kids in the car, with it running!!!???? Thank Heaven for firemen!! :)
