I just couldn't wait!
I really like all the patriotic stuff in the summer time. I know Independence Day isn't until the 4th of July, but I think I like red, white and blue for the whole summer. June is coming in just a couple of days and with it comes Kaitlin and Daron for the summer, Aunt Carol and Megan's birthday on the 3rd and Father's Day on the 15th. I just have to say I am glad May is over. June is nearly here and hopefully brings a renewed sense of optimism for me. May just wasn't a great month for me. We did get a lot done as a family - Grumpy and I moved, Summer moved with us, Richard and Stacie moved, and Robert moved not to mention all the occasions that happened along the way. I am so looking forward to getting more settled and maybe even finding the box that has my shoes in it! Birkenstocks are all I have to wear right now, but that's pretty much all I wear anyway. As Rylee would say, “It takes a long time to put everything away, and I can't wait for the house to make sense!" Out of the mouths of babes. I went to Shar's last night for the Sweet and Savory Pies class. It was very inspirational - maybe because I'm so sick of grabbing something fast to eat I'm craving good homemade food again. I bought some kitchen gadgets because we all know I needed some more of those, and am going to practice all kinds of pies. Gramma Dorothy gave us money toward an ice cream freezer at Christmas, so I think I'll go buy one and a really good ice cream book - and then I'll call my brother and have him teach me how to make the heath bar brickle stuff we all love. If I would go shopping for food, I could make chicken enchiladas tonight. It would be the first real meal that is actually prepared in the almost put away kitchen since we moved here. Basically, I just need a swift kick to get myself motivated and going. Don't we all…?
