On a more positive note, I have had a great January so far. Decorations be damned - I am reading, canning, duning, planning more duning and planning Relief Society HFPE meetings. Oh yeah - and all the birthdays. January is an amazing month for birthdays. Did I mention resting a little? I'm doing that too. I'll get to the decorations sometime. In time. We had a fun homemaking thing on Tuesday. This meant I needed to shop, make a whole bunch of crepes, the filling and the toppings for them on Tuesday morning/afternoon since I was at the dunes until Monday night. All was ready to serve them to the ladies as they did their paper crafts. Everyone seemed to enjoy the time talking and learning to make some cute things for valentines day. I'm always so glad that things work out even when I procrastinate. The ladies teaching did a great job and I love the three things that were taught.
Cute bees in a bag. Fun and easy to do.
I love these paper fortune cookies that can carry any message you want. They are so pretty in the different valentine papers and in a cute little chinese take out box you can fold up. Easy and different than the garden variety valentine.

What a fun gift for moms, gramma's, really anyone who likes pictures. A mint tin photo album. Jade made two of these that night. They turned out so cute.
Last, but tasting the best were the crepes. I love crepes. I blended a filling of cream cheese, cottege cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla in the Cuisinart. Very smooth and then colored pink of course. Filled the crepes, topped with whipped cream in the middle, strawberries on one side, roasted raspberry chipotle on the other with a chocolate drizzle over all. I had seconds because they were so yummy. Got the filling recipe from Taya and Kevin, got the chipotle from costco (so good) as well as the strawberries. We have a few left over and I'm not complaining.
Off to bed now so that maybe there's a snowball's chance in you know where that I might actually get some decorations down tomorrow.
