Just Us Girls

Last week us girls decided to go out. Dinner and a movie, not to mention all the talk that accompanies the evening is usually our choice. Since I was not smart enough to remember my camera, I'll post the restaurant and movie of choice. We really had a great time with each other. We were missing Summer, but she was on a 7-day cruise with her honey, so not feeling too bad for her. We had the best fried zucchini ever, and dinner was outstanding. Our server at the Cheesecake factory even packaged a piece of cheesecake in such a way as to allow undetected (smuggling) entry into the movies. We were too full to eat dessert at the restaurant, so took it with us. No popcorn this time…who needs popcorn when you can have chocolate cheesecake, right? The movie was okay, one of those you really have to think about to keep up with. I liked the ending. Sort of served them right. I'm hoping for the new Sandra Bullock flick next time.

I love it when the girls get together and talk about everything under the sun. I am grateful for their humor, the love they have for their husbands and family, their talents, abilities and willingness to serve. Oh yes, I'm also thankful for the slightly irreverant and “crazy side” we all have too. It's what keeps life interesting and our husbands interested. These girls are funny, beautiful women. I always tell Grumpy, “I'm the best thing that every happened to you”. I mostly say it because I hope he'll believe it if I say it enough. It could work! (I think he's just really patient).
