I am saying Yay! August going means cooler days are coming soon. I know we are not done with hot days, but at least the end is in sight now. September is one of my favorite months. The very tip of the holiday months to come and even though the temperatures not great yet, still seems like fall to me. Probably a throwback emotion of starting school, new school dresses and football season, etc. I'm old enough that I can remember school starting the day after labor day. I can still remember packing up and heading to college and how exciting it was to do that. I am blessed with parents that were excited for me to go experience things that would help me grow and get a great education in the process. I'm sure they missed me, (I hope), but they knew I needed to start getting on with life and so encouraged and supported me so well. I was homesick. In a big way. I was a little overwhelmed. I was excited and scared. It was one of the best times in my life. When I wanted to quit and come home, they encouraged me to stay. I wouldn't trade my college experiences for anything and am a stronger person because of them. Thanks Mom and Dad for giving me the chance to have that.
September has lots of memories for me. So I will suffice it to say, my mood has definitely turned to fall. I will be canning peaches tomorrow with the welcome help of my sweet hubby. Apples will be coming soon, but I won't be buying as many as last year. I learned my lesson. I will be canning lots of things this year. I am going to branch out and try some new stuff. School is in full swing for all the grandkids, moms are a little saner. We have a few birthdays coming up in September and Dallin leaves for the mission home on Tuesday. I'm so excited for him and his family. He will be a wonderful missionary. I hope we will get frequent updates on his experiences there and that he will know we will be thinking of him always.
Grandparents day is coming in September and we received invitations from Megan and Austin to go eat lunch with them at school. I'll be packing a lunch for us and am looking forward to a fun lunch at school. I hope to go to some classes of my own this month, so will look around for things to learn.
September is going to be great. I love this part of the year.

I have always LOVED fall too, for all those same reasons...it does bring about cooler weather (although now that I'm in Canada that's not so inviting to me anymore...lol)With the start of the school year and the changing of leaves it feels like a new beginning, I have always enjoyed re-evaluating my life and setting new goals around this time of the year.
Hey!! I happen to love fall myself. I wanted to tell you that I need an invite for Chelsea's blog. Will you tell her. my email is jjjrajaz@yahoo.com thanks!!
Yes, I will tell her. I also saw Scott's dad at Costco and he said Michelle had a blog. He said to tell you tell from he and Shalene. Jesse and Lacee are going private so I sent them your email so you could get an invite for theirs.
