The November Birthday Girls

The Family holiday party for Grumpy's side was a huge success. Ali, Jeremy and their boys were here from Canada, so it was most wonderful to see them. We had a soup bar and it was amazing. Potato/Cheese Soup, Corn Chowder, 2 kinds of Chili Beans, and Rocket Soup (Vegetable beef sort of) all hit the spot. There were bread bowls and fresh baked rolls for the bread junkies and Pineapple Upside Down cake as well as our traditional Chocolate Cake, (in milk) for dessert. If the noise level was any indication of how much everyone was enjoying the party, it was a huge hit!
Apparently everyone was too busy to take any pictures, so by the time the cake was being served I remembered my camera and Taya took this picture of Kaitlin and I after we were serenaded by the group. It was the most off-key version of “Happy Birthday” I have ever heard. It was too fun.
I know with our busy, crazy, zoo like lives it is nearly impossible to get everyone in one place at one time. We were missing a few key players from both families, but we were thankful there were so many of us that could come. Taya and Kevin did a great job getting their house party ready and I know that takes a lot of work. It was a good excuse to get her Christmas stuff up early, so now they can sit back and enjoy the season. I think I'm jealous.
I love a good family party, and I am saying a huge Thank You to everyone who made time in their busy schedules to come. Your efforts to be there are appreciated and your company was enjoyed immensely.
I love you all.

It was fun to see everyone and have the house christmassy!!!!(spelling?) Anyway, couldn't have done it all without Jade and Granny! I love Christmas and Kevin says the little bit that our electric bill may go up is worth how happy it makes me. This is my Christmas present every year!
