Things I Did Today. Being Positive.

Today I got up early today and waited for the Cox repairman to come and figure out why the phones and my TV upstairs is not working. He came about 8:30 and got his exercise in going up and down all the stairs from the basement up to the upstairs to get it all working the way it should. He was really nice. Tawna, Jade and I had started our applesauce project before he left and we threatened to put him to work. He said he had already done his applesauce duty for some friends. They invited him over for drinks and before he knew it he was doing applesauce. See what happens when you mix drinking with home canning projects?

We got the three boxes of apples sauced and into 12 quart containers. We got that mess cleaned up and started to fill and process the applesauce into quart jars for canning. it is 5:30 and we just took the last of 34 jars out of the canners. I guess we have two more boxes of Jonagolds to sauce tomorrow, then 2 boxes of Granny Smith/Red Delicious for pie apples to do. Then the apples are done for a while. Feels good to have that much done.

I went to the cannery the other day to do potato flakes, sugar, black beans, and some other stuff last week. It was fun to work in their new facility and feel like I was doing something to help others. I think I will feel even more productive when I get there on time next time. I got lost and had to call the Bishop's Storehouse for directions. Even as late as I was, I loved being able to go and do labels on the sugar cans.

Now it's time for Pizza and cleaning out the Toy Hauler. Tonight the bed will feel extra good. Maybe tomorrow I can manage doing something with my washed and simply air dried hair that is really scary. Maybe even put real clothes on instead of house dress and no bra. Focusing on the positive, productive things. Tomorrow is another day.
